Brighton, I was told, is where Londoners would go for a weekend beach getaway. It is hard pressed to find a spot on the pebble beaches during the summer. In additional to the beaches, Brighton also has a strong graffiti culture and a large LGBT community. I visited Brighton on a late September afternoon. The weather was cloudy and cool, but the cityscape had a certain charm to it. Walking along Brighton Pier was an enjoyable experience. Beach chairs peppered the beaches. The sound of penny arcade ringing emanates from the Brighton Pier building. The gentle waves and seabirds contrasts nicely with the cityscape and the carnival atmosphere.
